Our commitment extends beyond business success to actively empower the communities we serve. By 2035, we aim to bring positive impacts to 300,000 people — spanning our employees, surrounding communities and wider stakeholders.

Our community investment strategy is divided into the following three themes:

Education

Ensure all children have access to education to support continuous community development.

Progress to date:

Lao PDR

DSPC awarded six new scholarships to high school graduates from affected villages and continued financing school bus and boat services for students in remote communities, covering all transportation costs.

Malaysia

RCI contributed RM8,500 to local schools for sports events, curricular activities and infrastructure upgrades. Stenta hosted 34 internship students and facilitated industrial visits and research collaborations with local universities including UKM.

Across the Group, 51 internship placements were completed in 2025.

Infrastructure
support

Lao PDR

DSPC completed two clean water supply systems serving Khong District villages at 120–360 m³/day capacity, constructed 39 additional household toilets bringing the total to 131 units, and repaired flood-damaged road culverts to restore community road access.

Malaysia

RCI sponsored a public address system for local school events, provided construction support for the surau at Balai Polis Malim Nawar, and contributed to SJK(C) Bandar Seri Botani's fundraising committee for the construction of a new hall and classrooms.

Lao PDR

DSPC's Revolving Fund Programme supported 18 families across six participating villages in 2025. Plans are underway to establish eight community processing cooperatives — covering fish, palm sugar and local produce — to support approximately 142 families with equipment, financial and technical assistance.

Malaysia

Hexachase contributed to the Welfare Home for the Mentally Disabled (Rumah Orang Terencat Akal). RCI organised a Senior Citizens Programme and Savings for Children in conjunction with Chinese New Year 2025, providing financial support for senior citizens and children in the local community.
